DoneCIS enables UK sole trader CIS subcontractors to connect their HMRC account and bank accounts, track CIS deductions, split labour and materials, and submit quarterly returns to HMRC. Registered office: DoneLabs Ltd, Covent Garden, London, WC2. Contact: hello@donecis.co.uk

2. Eligibility

To use DoneCIS you must: be at least 18 years of age, be a UK sole trader registered under the Construction Industry Scheme as a subcontractor, have a valid National Insurance Number, have a valid Government Gateway account with HMRC, and have the legal authority to submit tax information on behalf of yourself.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your DoneCIS account credentials. Notify us immediately at hello@donecis.co.uk if you become aware of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for ensuring all information you provide including your National Insurance Number, contractor details, and transaction categorisations is accurate and complete.

4. The Service

DoneCIS provides: connection to your HMRC account via OAuth 2.0 for CIS deduction retrieval and submissions, connection to your UK bank account via open banking (read-only) to sync transactions, tools to split payments between labour and materials, CIS deduction dispute and override functionality via the HMRC CIS Deductions API, and submission history with HMRC correlation ID records.

5. Important Limitations

DoneCIS is a software tool, not a tax adviser, accountant, or financial adviser. You remain legally responsible for the accuracy of your CIS submissions to HMRC. DoneCIS does not provide tax advice. If unsure whether a deduction is correct, consult a qualified tax adviser. HMRC systems may be unavailable from time to time. DoneCIS is not responsible for submission failures caused by HMRC system outages.

6. Subscription and Payment

DoneCIS is available on Monthly (£12.99/month) or Annual (£125/year) plans. Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel at any time and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods. Founding Member pricing is locked for the lifetime of your subscription while it remains active.

7. HMRC Connection and OAuth

By connecting your HMRC account, you authorise DoneLabs Ltd to access your CIS deduction records via the HMRC API, submit quarterly updates and overrides to HMRC on your behalf, and store encrypted OAuth tokens to maintain this connection. You can revoke this authorisation at any time via your DoneCIS settings or your HMRC online account.

8. Open Banking Connection

By connecting your bank account, you authorise TrueLayer (an FCA-authorised open banking provider) to share your transaction history with DoneCIS in read-only format. DoneCIS cannot and will never initiate payments or move money from your account.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use DoneCIS to submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information to HMRC; attempt to gain unauthorised access to DoneCIS systems; use DoneCIS in any way that violates applicable UK law; reverse engineer or decompile the service; or resell access to DoneCIS without our written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English law, DoneLabs Ltd shall not be liable for any penalties or charges imposed by HMRC arising from inaccurate or late submissions, any loss of data outside our reasonable control, or any indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in that period.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, use DoneCIS fraudulently, or fail to pay subscription fees. Upon termination, your access will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of DoneCIS after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of DoneCIS shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
